Twists

The endings in horror films, are very important and I think they can either make or break a horror film. Horror films that keep the audience in suspense keeps them interested throughout the whole film,  instead of giving too much away at the beginning and then the audience can guess what is going to happen in the end. By including a twist in the film it takes the audience by surprise at a time they least expect it, and also the audience are more likely to remember what happened because they would have never thought it could happen.

The horror film Cry_Wolf is a great example of a film that includes a twist at the end.
Cry_Wolf is a film about eight high school seniors who all go to the same posh boarding school, and they are all involved with a lying game. This lying game includes a killer among the group and they have to guess which one of them is the killer. They decide to up the game by including the whole school and create a character for the killer. They decide to call the killer 'Wolf' they give him an identity but what they don't know is that they have actually created a real killer. At the end of the film to begin to realise who the killer could be, but then everything gets turned upside down as you find out that the characters were all in on a big joke trying to scare the main characters Owen Matthews.
